The only ABS I know in my mog is Arse Bloody Sore after certain roads .

 But how come the non-ABS dog appears to be stopping before the ABS equipped one... He's obviously not using cadence braking either...  Cheers,

Same way that the stopping distance without ABS is shorter in fresh snow - you build up a wedge in front of the tyres and stop quicker. This does not work as soon as you travel where others have, but fresh snow - and I guess sand  you turn the ABS off.

OK... I always use cadence braking in snow... Certainly in the Land Rover, which is about all I drive when the ground is covered.  Cheers,
