In the still cool temperatures, I noticed that the heated windshield doesn't heat a narrow area right in the middle, or only heats it very weakly. Do you have this phenomenon too?

Any comments welcome.

It is sadly a feature. Of the 3 Mogs I have had with heated screens 2 had this. So far the CX is fine. swear

I had a Ford Fusion where the heating elements only cleared a couple of very small columns, most of the screen remained fogged.

It's nowt to worry about, just one of the very fine single wires that has not got a perfect connection to the main upper or lower feeds, surprisingly common

If you leave the 'screen on long enough the glass will eventually warm up enough to 'catch up'
