Folks, if anyone is ever interested in exploring Newport and the RI coastline, I'd be happy to organize a spontaneous M3W' tour. It would be nice to see another M3W here!

Newport has always been a playground for yachties and billionaire's, but since Jay Leno and Audrain's moved in, it's also become a Mecca for car collectors and aficionados. Rally's, Cars and Coffee's, car parades, seafood celebrations, Tennis Hall of Fame activities, music, sailboat races, etc. are pretty much weekly events between late April and October. Not to mention the famous Newport Jazz and Folk Music events. With some of the most scenic 2-lane coastline roads, robber baron' era mansions and Federal-period architecture in the U.S., I find it to be an ideal cruising venue for the M3W.

If you've been thinking about a visit to Newport anyway, consider bringing your M3W. Just be prepared to meet a lot of people and do a lot of talking!

Interested... 2015 black M3W, which I would have to ship halfway across the country in order to participate.
I note that you are a Vespista... I monopolized a number of newspaper routes in my youth with my Vespa 125, which allowed me to cover more streets than the kids on bicycles.

If a larger group has interest, we'd need to plan the timing, reservations and base of operations (especially for trailers). It's a lot of activity for a small island and surrounding area. Everything on this list, unless noted, is within walking distance of central Newport.. For a larger group, mid- late September into October might be ideal. For individuals, anytime! I'm happy to play tour guide!

I didn't go far last summer.
Coming back from Montreal and then Boston, I took a short trip via Cape Cod and then headed to NYC...

Bump...! Offer is still valid to be a tour guide for anyone who wishes to visit Newport. The cars & coffee season has started. Daffodils are blooming and we've turned the corner toward Spring! I plan to break my own M3W out of the garage this weekend.
