Looked out for Aeroman...not easy when you have no idea what he looked like but saw the M3W first and sort of gathered one of the excited guys around it must be him! Nice to meet up Brian! In the flesh the car is drop dead gorgeous with some lovely bespoke details. I was very envious......apart from the weather to drive back in! I'll post some photos later both of the factory visit and of Brian and M3W.
Don't listen to Boshers, he's got a significantly large birthday coming up, if you know what I mean, so the question of age is dwelling on his mind!
He'll get used to it, he really doesn't have much option, in time!
We had a good if rather wet trip back, though literally it blew a gale, no issues with the car, including the nearly 20-delivery miles it's now got 154 miles on the clock. The experience was really an assault on the senses, we enjoyed ourselves.
I must say that the car drives very well and is definitely much more sophisticated that the 3W we test drove at Goodwood last. Congratulations to Steve and his team.
At 3500rpm it's showing about 80 mph on the speedo and this would be a very relaxed cruising speed, if the law allowed it. The only negative so far is some bad kick-back through the steering on broken surfaces, of which there are now plenty on our roads.
The steering wheel on my car was not the one that I chose, apparently it would not fit the detachable fixture, but the guys knew I didn't want a Momo (because of the branding) so organised another wheel that I am delighted with!
Lastly, it was a real pleasure to meet you Jay. You guys seemed to be enjoying the tour. I didn't get to meet the Mog Mag team, but do look forward to my free subscription with my new car.
