Knowing the average Redditor I suspect that rainbow spandex and high heels is pretty standard fare for many :-)

The young generation really aren't like us at all!

Your average redditor is instantly forgettable ... I was thinking of the select membership of this august forum .... a spectacle seared forever on the memory and unlikely to be shifted in a hurry by either therapy, single malt or serious drugs!! 🙂

We ought to be sad about the obvious demise of one of the last great UK car names but we seem to have got so used to UK failure that is doesnt bother us any longer. Instead whilst we mock the jaguar efforts to bring themselves into the future, we celebrate MMC efforts to remain firmly rooted in the past. What is it about us that we fail so miserably?

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should!

The Supersport is actually quite a radical departure from their past in technical terms while retaining continuity. .... jaGuar is deliberately trashing it's entire connection to its past and gratuitously pissing on their current customer base in an attempt to re-invent themselves into a 'Bentleyesque' trendy 'fashion brand'

It's a trait of us old farts, Howard. The past is known, familiar and reassuring. The future is unknown and scary and not for the elderly.

The young hold no allegiance to the past, for them the future is everything they have. A lot of what appeals to them is a deliberate rejection of what the Boomer generation like - just as we did in the 1960s to our pre-war generation parents.

Jaguar died because people stopped buying their products, it's a simple as that.

Yes, we do sound like a bunch of grouchy old meanies! swear

Maybe the Jaguar renaissance will be a sales success, revitalising the brand and leaving the nay sayers with egg on our faces.

Maybe.
