What lovely people Morgan owners are.
Many thanks for all your messages.
One good thing is that they wire your chest back together so I'm thinking I'll be able to hang things off magnets; a pen or two or perhaps a light spanner.
Handy under the car and if you drop a tool it just locates to the chest. Saves hours of searching...

Sadly I suspect it is non magnetic stainless steel but I love the idea. You deserve a special power after that kind of surgery

Best wishes for a successful op and a speedy recovery Nick. MIL had a triple bypass and FIL a quadruple bypass, both went on to lead full and active lives.
A good friends uncle was the heart surgeon in ARI for a number of years, laterly he toured giving lectures on the subject. His surname was Cockburn and at one lecture the guy introducing him had real trouble pronouncing his surname. He repeated "John Cockburn the heart surgeon" several times before taking to the stage, then introduced him as John Heartburn the cock surgeon! 😂

Good luck Nick.... I've had 4 heart operations, including a bypass. Please feel free to PM me if there's anything you're anxious about or just don't understand.
The operation will be a success as the procedure is so well known. But you'll be exhausted afterwards - which is kind of odd given you haven't done anything other than lie down!

Hi Nick, good luck with the surgery, at least they can bypass the leasions, but I understand you did hope stenting was "enough". Fortunately the procedure is straightforward for a heart surgeon, and it is planned as an elective procedure with all the necessary precautions taken. I wish you a speedy recovery!
