Ever since around 2012 when I first got into the Morgan world, I think I must have seen every type of film or video that features a Morgan

Every week or so I search Youtube for recent videos that have Morgan car content in some form and occationally one pops up from the past that I haven't seen before but it's a rarety.

I also think I've seen just about every advert (Ralph Lauren Polo comes to mind), every Hollywood and foreign feature film that features a Morgan. I even sat through all of 'Our Man in Rio', just to see Jean Paul Belmondo's red 4 seater.

When I was watching a few of the Supersport launch videos on Tuesday, I got to thinking which one of the many films or videos would I take to a desert island to replay in my head to give me that Morgan feeling and smile.

And it's this one.

A clear winner

I remember seeing this when I bought my second pair of Dents driving gloves from their website back in about 2017 when there was a link to the film and I think I remember posting a link to it here at the time.

The imagery and feel has stuck with me. I dont know who the filmmaker Justin Barrow is or if he's done anything else or even if he is on TM, being a Morgan owner or ex-owner. ( I hope maybe someone might know)

I consider this a mini masterpiece. The soundtrack and the last vista reminds me of 'Paris Texas' (my favourite all time film), 'Three Billboards..' and the landscape and moody sky reminds me of a painting my parents had at home when I was a child.

The contrast between the close wrap of the cockpit and the dark enclosed garage shed with the burst of the open panoramic landscape and freedom of the car travelling on the road is just beautiful

When the boys face is replaced by the older face in the mirror it still gives me goosebumps (in a nice way)

What would be your one favourite Morgan video/film and why?

Oh nearly forgot, here is the link the film:

The Balvenie whisky car being made and advert. As a fellow four seater owner love the end with voice over.

Mel Brooks driving a yellow Morgan with Feldman on has to be iconic

I think that’s my second favourite. I really like that bit where Jon Wells sketches the hood roofline on the 4 seater and the overhead shots of it driving down that long straight road

Whenever I buy whiskey as gifts for friends, it’s always been Belvenie since that video

For any that haven’t seen it, here is the link below

Never seen that before, made me think of a dear departed Mog Pal who wore similar gloves to drive, thanks for sharing Stewart thumbs

Just saw the video, indeed a peace of art, very recognizable! The strength is the message, and I think we all can imagine the smell in the shed, the smell and feel of the Morgan, and the feel and recognition of the emotions. The lived through emotion. Reminds me of a discussion which I had with my wife yesterday, the emotions for our old 4/4, which is beautiful preserved over time, but has its marks, is so different as compared with the emotions for our PlusFour (which we are glad to have, for long distance touring during our holidays). love Thanks for sharing! thumbs

Pleased you liked it Ruut

I think it's a cracking little short film and yes you are right about the message

Thanks for sharing, Stewart. I had forgotten about the film but remembered every detail immediately. A very emotional and prototypical story about the nature of big dreams in little boys, which we all were and sometimes still are when things are going well.
