It really impressed me back then, the only aluminum-frame Morgan that I, as a Trad Morgan lover, would have in my garage if I could afford it.

Me too Jens the design is timeless and yet hits me every time I see it again, very special cars and also a piece of art to my eyes.
It took me long time to get used to the initial Aero design, but the Max hit me like a steam train😎

Gotta say for me, it's the Aero Supersports and the Coupé that have the best looks, I reckon they're utterly gorgeous.

It's a tricky one. On the one hand, the Aeros are stunning looking cars that have become instant classics and give the perfect image of a luxury GT car - drawing a discreet veil of course over the construction and design weaknesses, which might have had a role in the decision to go with the new shape.

But - do they sufficiently exemplify the Morgan DNA? I can easily imagine a design meeting in which the argument went "We can only afford to build one flagship model, and it's got to carry the essential Morgan look forward so it's got to look more like a Trad than an Aero."

Yes a really tricky one, as they are heading into a new client base with the product maybe the new flagship will be an even more expensive one in the form of EVA GT.

Maybe by then the traditional profile will be less important as we will never be likely to buy new us hands dirty boys, but right now I think you are bang on it.
