Hi Eric,

I'm sure you can make a specification at the factory. I specified and bought my PlusFour from a German dealer.
When the car was under construction I flew to the UK to do a factory tour in Malvern and see my Morgan under construction. After that visit to Malvern I have always thought the following:

If I were to buy a new Morgan again I would do the spec in Malvern.

You can see all the options there for vehicles that are under construction. Colors, leather, etc. are visible to a much greater extent than at a dealer. However, you will certainly only be able to order from your local dealer.

Thank you all for your tips and contributions. The Morgan dealer in NL is taking ages to come up with a (decent) financial proposal. They are not really making an effort... As things progress, I will post an update!

From my purchase experience the retail outlet adjacent to the factory was just another dealer, with the same or less knowledge but also complete inflexibility on price. We had better advice (and price) from other UK dealers.

If it’s a brand new Morgan from the factory, I have never yet heard of any discounts on price. May be a different story if a new one has been sitting in a showroom for a year or so.

Yeah, it's difficult to imagine why MMC would be interested in discounting the price of a new bespoke car, it's not like they are having problems selling them. The second-hand market, on the other hand, is a different proposition, there are plenty of used cars out there and I'm sure there would be room for manoeuvre with some dealers, depending on the car.

And after that ? I'm not saying you are wrong, but once the first 200 aspirational wealthy punters are supplied ???. Contrary to some other views, I reckon that (maybe new-to-Morgan) buyers will want an affordable Morgan experience, and the now "cheapo" Trads will do well.
