PS take more than that that to get £100K plus outta me ! Even the cleaned up fronts on the 4 doesn’t do it for me. Gimmi chrome bumpers, side lights and some spots……hmm that sounds like a girl I once went out with ?

PPS the Gorden Keeble pic posted though, that was part of my uni college days with a friends rich dad collecting us and taking us out to lunch in it….
Fair enough, you maybe would suit one of these ? Quite a few here.

I am of an age where ease of use, comfort and a bit of bling is thought to be even nicer to have in one`s mode of transport than it did in my much younger years, be that in one`s daily transport or dare I say a sports car.. ?

I arrived at Morgan ownership from a decade or more of air cooled Porsche ownership, Porsche having created a real sports car with all that an automotive enthusiast might desire in terms of quality, reliability and performance built in like no other at the time. However, I had arrived at an age where I began to appreciate older and simpler machinery, more basic if you will, machines that required more input from their pilot to maintain approximate course on an interesting stretch of Tarmac, something more...err... Vintage perhaps..... Hmm..?

I guess I had always appreciated Morgans to some degree while passing through my Sprite, MGB, Lotus and many other old brit sports car phase, to arrive as a real fan of Porsche for a decade or more.

When the then new 993 arrived on the scene I thought it a wonderfully competent machine, but thought it had advanced to the stage where it had lost something of it`s edge at legal (ish) road speeds, that edge seemingly pushed higher up the speed scale before the all important sports car input traits re-appeared to make demands of the driver, given the degree of increased technology, comfort and driver aids that had been built into Porsches then latest offering.. My Luddite tendencies revealing themselves perhaps..?

As for the modern Morgans I wish them every success and hopefully they will find younger folk than I, who may have followed a similar automotive path to my own and have arrived at a stage in life where a machine with a somewhat vintage appearance is fortunately still available, yet without all the maintenance complexities, and the same degree of exposure to so much of which only a true vintage machine can supply in spades....? (-:

That Morgans are still in production and providing a linkage to the history and heritage of a British sports car traditions is most fortunate for those who might seek to follow a similar path to those who went before...?

Me..? While I can physically access and egress from my old Mog and have what it takes to pilot it, as it hops and skips down an interesting twisting undulating road with the occasional somewhat jarring pot hole thrown in, then I am more than happy to be able to do so, while still appreciating it has all the history and heritage I was desirous of in the mid 90`s and still does to this very day.

What`s more to want..? (-:

I've read the road tests to-date and the car for a Morgan comes out quite well in the reviews against more modern machinery, a very nice step change and hopefully a successful car to ensure Morgan's continued success. Whist there is a boot, most reviewers seem to enjoy the car more with the roof on and side screens out, which means the boot is full, and there is limited interior space for the likes of coats etc., so without the luggage rack not a practical tourer and even with a luggage rack I would question how much luggage it can carry and what visibility is like out of the rear. No-one so far has had the roof off, so I question the practicality of the roof removal and how the car more open would feel under test. as the roof does add to the structural rigidity..

Nice car, a bit bland by comparison to the family of Aero's with their curvaceous and sometimes quite outlandish body design, that truly made a statement when you arrived.

Along with the engine, maybe they could have borrowed this from BMW?

I've now actually seen one in the flesh now...... or in the metal....
It was tucked away, almost out of sight, amongst a few other cars at the sunday scramble at Bicester heritage yesterday.

It is striking.
Different.

It's challenging........

The launch colour, the pinkish metallic, is....., well, it wouldn't be for me.....🤷🏻‍♂️
I still really don't like the hard top, the soft top looks ok though.

The interior looks fantastic I have to say.

I hope MMC sell lots of them.........
