I have a 2014 Morgan plus4.
This afternoon, when I was changing the battery.
I accidentally cut off the power of the car.
causing the Morgan to be unable to start.
The chip lock of the key cannot be unlocked when it is started.
Is there any solution?
Is there a way to bypass the immobilizer and start the car?
I need Morgan to take wedding photos in three days.
So I want to solve the problem quickly.

Thank you for your answer

If the immobiliser won't disengage, so if the light on the dashboard keeps flashing, try rubbing the black part of the key against the steering column lock. Of the light goes out you have 30 seconds to start the engine before it resets.

Or try disconnecting the battery again. Wait 10 mins and reconnect.

^^^^ then replace and tighten the positive battery lead before doing the same with the black ground lead to battery negative in a quick smooth motion so there is no temporary intermittency.

I doubt it's disconnecting the battery that's the problem per se, I have changed my battery with no probs. Look for another problem chip in key for instance.

Check to see if the immobilizer antenna is loose around the key barrel, they can slip and rotate to a lower position and prevent reading the key chip.

I have tried various methods, including rubbing the key near the keyhole, disconnecting the battery and then reconnecting it, but none of the above can solve the problem of my Morgan. However, I have a new discovery. The induction coil of my keyhole will continue to send radio waves after the key is pulled out. I wonder if other plus4s are the same? Is there any other way to troubleshoot or diagnose the immobilizer?

The spare key is useless.
I guess my immobiliser might be broken.
I saw that M3w has a solution to skip the immobilizer, I wonder if plus4 has a similar solution
A few days ago, I saw someone mention that there is a 2-pin plug hidden in the fuse box that may be able to bypass the immobilizer, but I can't find the article 🥲

Might be worth taking to Cain Poulton at Wolf Performance on bypassing your immobiliser.
