I find the seat in my new to me, CX to be on the low side, (long legs and a short back you see), so want to raise it on a couple of lengths of wood, however, far from finding the nuts on the underside of the car as I expected, I find it is all enclosed in aluminium, which needs to be removed to access the bottom of the seat bolts. I didn't look any further, as I didn't have the car up on ramps, but, can someone tell me if it is just a matter of undoing a dozen or so bolts holding these underside panels in place, and are those bolts into rivnuts or through, into somewhere else?
Maybe there is an even easier way to get the seats and runners out - captive nuts for the seat runners for instance?
Thanks.

Right, having spoken to both my local dealer and Mark at MMC, I was wrong about the two bolts on the outside seat runners. They are standard hex bolts with nuts on the underside, but in my defence, they are hidden, not only by an aluminium plate, but more importantly by a 2.5cms diameter sheath of wiring, which completely coverts the nuts.
Anyway suffice to say, that once I had discovered the nuts, they came off easily enough and I have now put a couple of wooden spacers under the seat runners, which make a huge difference to me.
I still find the seats quite hard though, especially after a couple of hours of sitting. Is that just me, or do others notice this?

Thank you Paul for your experience on how to remove the seats. I find the seats very comfortable. I also have no problems with the height. I am 1.84 tall. What year was your CX built?

My Plus Four driver seat is comfortable ... but all the red warning indicators are hidden by the top of the steering wheel. I hope that if anything worrying happens my passenger will notice and tell me :-)

Hi Clemens, I am only 5'7" (1.7m), but with long legs and a short back, so generally find I need most seats slightly higher for comfort and view out. I noticed that when I removed the seats from my MY2025 car, the bases are solid plywood, not rubber sheet or strips as in a lot of mainstream cars, which probably accounts for my finding the seat hard after a couple of hours.
