Excellent job DB, well done. Beautiful patina on that leather.

Ah, proper brazing - an almost lost skill nowadays thumbs

Drove it to Techniques in Stotfold for its annual service.
Nothing major just a few electrical gremlins and one of the very last original mechanical items on the +8, lasted 45 years has finally given up the ghost. The fan in the fan heater. Only used to aid cooling when running hot. I think everything else under the bonnet and below the dash has expired at least once.
All set now for Spa Classic in a couple of weeks and a drive down to Umbria in September

Agreed

That and silver soldering!

Having said that I've just retubed a 1933 Super Sports chassis. 150 quids worth of cold drawn seamless steel tubing held together by 175 quids worth of silver solder.....

Yesterday, actually, I removed the failed electric fuel pump. The engine started sputtering about a quarter mile from home and I nursed it into the driveway before it quit. A replacement is on the way.

Installed the new pump. I went with a Facet "Red Top" and it's much quieter than the old Holley. Switched from barbed hose connections to AN type fittings like the rest of the system.

Strange that the Talk Morgan Image website distorted the picture, but you get the idea...

Relative to the vast knowledge base here on Talk Morgan, I'm a newbie and wondered if silver soldering is the method the factory used to fabricate the chassis.
