This weekend - apparently the last S5 at Iconic Auctions Chassis number ends 124... I know Morgan don't always build cars in sequence, but maybe that's a hint as to how many were built?

Well the ad states: "We understand that just 160 Series 5 Aero 8s were produced between 2016 and 2018" Furthermore, I'm glad they mention that the actual last Morgan produced is owned by MMC because if someone didn't read down, they may assume this was the last Aero built. The question is, does it matter when the Aero GT was the run-out model (ignoring the platform run-out of the Plus 8 50th)?

well yes Morgan have always been vague about the exact number built of any series, not just the 5
I wouldn't put it past them to find some old S5 chassis & produce another 'last' - so far we've had the last one made, the GT, the Plus 8 50th and the Aero/Bristol GTRs, and of course this one, the last Aero S5 sold.
Has anyone seen an S5 chassis number higher than 124?

Estimate of up to £130k plus 15% buyer's premium? Nope. If I won the lottery this evening I'd rather have the SuperSport.

I'd feel like buying a seven year old Aero, with less than 150 miles on the clock, would be like an exercise in frustration, trying to resolve all the issues created by lack of use (let alone the standard ones that present themselves).
I'd take a cherished, well used and cared for vehicle over one that has barely turned a wheel. In my experience, mechanical items don't fare well with lack of use.
Add to that the conundrum of whether someone would want to use it after paying a premium for low mileage example?
I used to joke that microswitches, A/C issues and a new sump were the bare minimum annual additions to the standard servicing on a well cared for, but regularly used, Aeromax. I can't imagine what the bill for a low miles car would look like when taken to MMC.

Well there is going to be a well loved and used Coupe and S2 on the market soon. Mind you I have been saying that for a while and still change my mind every time I take them out for a run. I agree re the regular use issue. With the 4.8L which has the bigger sump you learn very rapidly to watch for road bumps!
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

I saw this car on Harrys Garage at the Iconic Auction review, very attractive colour I thought but I would rather have one of the Ferraris for the same money especially the 599.
Here for a good time not a long time!! Reg

Interesting that the token "barn find" example is an air cooled 911 in this auction.... the estimate seems somewhat off..? Time will tell..
