My car pre-dates the fitting of high-level brake lights, and I was never convinced by the look of the Cobra style. So I made up an LED strip to mount to the lower rail of the luggage rack. ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2018/06/18/TJH_0510.md.jpg) Nobody has driven into the back of me in the 10 years since I fitted it, so I guess it works ok...

Nobody has driven into the back of me in the 10 years since I fitted it, so I guess it works ok... I agree, it looks very neat - but it's barely 3" above the standard brake lights C/L so ! What this tells me is that you are probably a careful predictive driver more so than being a "lifted " into the eye line brake repeater light which in my naivity thought was the basic design brief
