Hi
Having been a previous Trad Roadster owner the opportunity to get back into a Morgan is appealing with Plus Six prices coming down! I have a BMW Alpina up for sale details in the For Sale section on this site and once sold I could well be in the market for a Plus Six?

My question is around factory support?
- as these cars 'still' have radiator issues - are early Plus Six's (for example) with a leaking rad, picked up under warranty (or is this now an owner paid for fix)?
- I looked at a Plus Six at a car show three weeks ago and the owner pointed out corrosion on the windscreen pilar and lower rear wing - again is this a warranty issue and paid for by Morgan?

Thanks all, if you see a 'cheap' Plus Six let me know (or someone who wants to swap their Plus Six for the Aplina and cash their way!)

Hello , i have a MY2020 plus four and the radiator has been changed 5 times . After each change the radiator is two years under warranty. But since one year no leak . The first plus six doesn t have an ESP.

And you should check the brakes , the pedal is very soft . One later models the brakes are from AP racing.

I understand that MMC have a new radiator "package" that will be available in a couple of months, any failures occurring once the new rad is available will be changed out, in the meantime any failures will have the existing system replaced.

My car is an MY23 Plus Six, around 2,500 miles, no failures as yet. Brakes are very good.

They don't make them anymore and now with continuing factory support for the radiator there will be no nasty surprises for new owners, £52k for a Plus Six is a great buy when you consider the performance is practically the same as the Supersport at twice the price. Prices could be firming up.

Thanks all,

from your info: I 'think' any radiator issues may be covered off then and put right for good (new rad design) on a FOC bases.

What about the windscreen pilar and lower wing bubbling/corrosion - would that be covered under Morgan's paint warranty? This is obviously a galvanic alluminium concern?

Thanks

Interesting, there are lots of pics on Car & Classic, as well as details such as it was bought as CAT N with 82 miles on the clock, so we assume it was a pranged demonstrator ? Located in Tutbury, Staffordshire, so that would also rule it out for me.

If it is a Cat N - which the owner says it is, £52K is a punchy price. Having a car with a 'write-off marker' kills the value!

It is more like current value less 25% so £45K...

He doesn't mention the Cat N issue in the Miscellany ad; naughty. Why would an insurance company write off a new car for simple structural damage?

Cheapest one on MogFinder is at Williams; 2021 model, 9,200 miles, £68k.

Cat S on ebay for £42,000. Nice looking car, though the shutline of the nearside bonnet is relatively poor. Located in Kent, so I'd want BHM to take a look at it before committing.
