Good evening guys my 2017 1.6 Sigma has a leak on the exhaust flexi pipe and Morgan want £211 just for the part. I can see plenty of Flexi pipes on Ebay but not sure they are correct for the Morgan ,has anyone any suggestions to point me in the right direction for an affordable part supplier
Thanks Graeme

Maybe use an exhaust specialist to make one from a length of matching flex, using original as pattern.

Try these people I have used them a fair bit and they are very helpful and knowledgeable. Currently promoting 20% discount on Marine grade Flexi exhausts, good luck.

Graeme, Can't visualise your exhaust from memory. Is your flexi-pipe the welded both ends type and if so is there enough room outside each end if it's removed to fit a clamp-on type. If so you can buy stainless clamp-on flexi couplings. If you ascertain the point of failure and loosen things up so you can move the exhaust around a little more you will be able to see that the, (usually upstream) pipe, enters the coupling for quite some distance so imagining the gap between the two pipes within the flexi, it is in fact quite small. This allows you to have a little more latitude in where you can fit the replacement. Remove the bellows part by cutting directly through the pipe that is the short end (outside of the flexi flange) then remove the other end close to the welded flange. I grind off the first high ridge and then you can slide the whole of the old flexi off. you can now see the extent of the pipe available and decide on the position for the clamped version. First tidy the exhaust flexi flange which sits on the longer section but do not try and remove it, it will just sit in front of the new flexi and in fact offers some protection. When you have your pipe diameter you can order a clamp on version, easiest to search on line.
I fitted one on to my son's polo which had prematurely failed, that was five years ago and literally this week I have just changed his whole exhaust out for a full stainless option..... flexi on the old system was still fine!

Thanks for the info mine is clamped at each end and has a curve just after it meets the middle box i have a horrible feeling it's going to a morgan part only. Going to the exhaust Centre on Monday I tried to put the pictures on but can't seem to upload them Thanks Graeme

Yes Graeme, don't give up to easily there are bespoke stainless exhaust companies out there who I am sure will help you out with that little job. although you might have to resist the temptation to go with an all singing new system! Remember also that Morgan didn't make your exhaust and a clamp on flexi is a clamp on flexi!
