Hi everyone

My friend has a 2021 Plus Four CX and has lately been suffering with intermittent power steering failure - the PAS will not work when the car is started. Disconnecting the battery etc does not seem to fix it. It "fixes itself" now and again. It's been in to a dealer who, in accordance with sod's law, having trailered the car to the premises, could not replicate the error. One thing to note is the car has an immobiliser which was originally thought to be the problem. The factory advised the dealer to clean up all contacts and connections.

In short has anyone else experienced and issue with intermittent PAS and if so did you find a solution?

Thanks for reading
Neil

Not sure whether this impacted the Plus Four but the early Plus Six cars had earthing issues, which caused random failures. In my case (MY23) the engine would randomly cut out and then run on four or five cylinders for a while. As both cars share the same chassis, I can envisage that this should be one thing to rule out, hence MMC asking the dealer to clean up all contacts and connections. One earthing point is behind the dashboard, I believe; did the dealer check that?

Thanks for taking the time to reply. The dealer has "cleaned up" the earth(s) and contacts so time will tell.

Cheers

My Brooklands Roadster did this. Try pushing in the multilingual plugs. That was my issue
