My vote would be the Vitesse or a GT6 if you can find one about?

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

I'd love a TR4 or TR4a, particularly with the Surrey top. Sadly nothing available within 150 miles other than a chap in the next village selling one that needs a new chassis! And he wants £12k!

2012 Plus 4 in Sport Green. Much comfier than the Plus 8!

We have the 4A hood and frame on ours so quick and easy to put up/down, but never bothered to get a Surrey top.
Have had the 4 for over 18 years, doesn’t get used as much since we bought a Plus 4 in 2017. Should sell it really but
never get further than wash, polish a run out and back in the garage.

Nice looking TR4A. I notice a gap in the centre of the grille just above the bumper bar. If the battery goes flat can you use a crank handle to start the car?

Yes a great design feature, such a shame that when Triumph upgraded the radiator system it didn’t have a hole for the handle to go through.
So it’s about as much use as a chocolate tea pot I’m afraid. uk laugh2
Love your MGB and rather like the idea of modern engine and box in our TR4, but the tractor engine does have a certain charm as does the clunky 4 speed box with overdrive on 3 gears. In fact our initial search for a Morgan was for a TR4 engined MOG, but we went modern and throughly love it.
Off to Beaulieu this weekend.
Good luck to Grumpy2 for your search.

The TR4 is another car I should have owned. Triumph made very stylish cars in that period.

Michelotti did great work for Triumph in that era ... sharp stylish designs that avoided gimmickry so have stood the test of time!

Howard, having spent rather a lot of time welding in patches to my own Porsches, I suspect the important thing is that they do indeed rot despite being galvanised more so the air cooled variety, as they did not have the benefit of plastic guards under the wings to stop crud being thrown into the corners where it would collect to create the usual corrosion traps...oncee Porsche started fitting underwing guards things began to improve, but I have seen Porsches as late as 997`s with bubbling around the edges of the wings that will be hiding corrosion issues none to simple to resolve... Condensation within closed sections is also part of the cause of corrosion, as it is on many vehicles....

Not many closed sections on my Trad...(-:
