The disease starts the moment you swing the nose of the car around the first corner....the view down the bonnet, the feeling as you are sitting so far back and the slight flexing of the chassis is totally addictive!

The itching starts with the first view one has of a Morgan. If there's no itch, it's not a car for you Getting to scratch said itch can take some longer than others...

My GF has showed remarkably big interest in the Plus 4 purchase...makes me a bit suspicious. When I almost one year ago ordered the M3W she were stone cold from beginning...and when i showed here the M3W pictures for like the 25:th time she then noticed that there was just one rear wheel (yes, the name Morgan Three Wheeler has been mentioned...)...and it went from bad to worse: -Is that a safe car..has it got multiple airbags...can you tow a trailer...no, no and absolutely no darling...but your B*W X3 Tank works just perfect for that. But all the questions just made me even stronger (and still convinced that I probably need a MkII when that time comes). I think the change in attitude is connected to that I used some of you TM'ers advice ...briefly mentioning trips to France, Italy and Austria...along winding sunny roads...picturesque wine castles...luxurious restaurants...space enough on the luggage rack for the biggest Chanel suitcase in the range...Bardot style sun glasses...colourful silk scarves...tan leather accessories...I might have overdone it a bit (Emergency solution: swap wife for dog) 4536012 seconds ...and the itch has now gone worse

All it took me was to sit a Morgan at the Sandown Park car show in the '80s. (I was there with my Midas). The salesman simply said "Why don't you sit in the car". He did not have to say anything else. I never thought I would be able to afford one.

And I ,of course will never be able to afford a new plus eight. So I have to concentrate on making mine better.

By the way, are there any road tests out there yet? Not that I'm interested of course.

I do find it interesting that I've never before come across a car as widely admired by women (of all ages) as the trad Morgan. As I've mentioned before on this site, 'er indoors never had any enthusiasm for my TVR and has always referred to it as "The tart trap". She has never driven it & it was very difficult to even entice her into riding in it. The Mog is a different story. She adores it, is all in favour of going on trips in it & has even driven it too. However, the 3 wheeler, despite my enthusiasm for it, does not ring the same bells with the missus.
