Adjusted the drive belt to 10 mm deflection with ten pounds weight as per HD specs. Morgan owners manual only mentions the 100 deflection. I’m now getting a high pitched “zing” noise on acceleration. Any thoughts?

A little experimentation may be called for. If you have the stock aluminum rear sprocket noise is to be expected. Too tight and it will squeal like a banshee. I went through two aluminum sprockets before I went for the newer stock steel one offered in the latter years. Problem went away. As the belt wears away the aluminum it will get worse.
What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.

Experimentation was spot on. Tightened the adjusters 1/2 turn and the noise went away.

It will be a constant struggle. As the aluminum wears the sound will get worse. That belt is rated for about 100,000 miles on a soft-tail Harley. It's wicked strong. The aluminum sprocket will get eaten and the first symptom will be an excess of black powder in the rear hardware. That is aluminum. It's a long haul thing. Enjoy the ride anyway!

I would say that your belt "zing" noise was the lower run of the belt rubbing on the chassis tube below the bevel box drive sprocket when you accelerated, it runs with minimal clearance. The noise is the ridged outer side of the belt just touching the chassis tube. As you back off the power the slack in the belt lower run reduces and the zing goes...or you can tighten the belt and have a bit less slack, as you have done. It is a good clue that the belt tension is too low.
