Hello to the forum. I have finally taken the plunge and managed to acquire a 1998 4/4.BRG tan leather reclining and folding seats, and am naturally over the moon with the car.
Now at six feet two I find the cockpit, shall we say snug I fit fine, but have little room for maneuver.
I wonder if there are any other tall Morgan owners with a similar seating arraignment. If so does anyone know of a (fairly economic) way to create a little more legroom thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.
Thank you to Talk Morgan for getting this fantastic community together.

Welcome to the Forum vanthal; as another 'van' and also as long time 4/4 fan a 'Double Welcome'. I'm afraid I cann't help with your particular problem as I'm normal height and Madame is 4'10"! Cost me an 'Arm and a Leg' to have a 'de - mountable' Pedal Extension Box made to permit Madame to drive.
I am in the United Arab Emirates, where are you resident?
Enjoy your Mog, the more you use her, the Happier the both of you will be ..........
Kind Regards

Hi Camelman I am in Staffordshire uk. Thanks for the reply. Tell me how do you cope with th climate out threre.
My wife and I made a trip to the Italy a couple of years ago, in a Triumph TR6, for much of the time the temperature was 38/degrees so we traveled with the Hood up and the rear window open. unless of course you're car has air con.LOL
Enjoy You're Mog and thanks again Vanthal.

Hello and welcome Vanthal!
I'm 6'3" and while I haven't sat in the older Morgans, I do fit perfectly in the Aero 8. I raise this point because I was worried about it prior to sitting in one but was told that Charles Morgan is my height and thus the Aero was built to accommodate him.
Perhaps if this reason stands, it would be fair to assume they have found ways to accommodate him in the more 'traditional' cars? I know there are a fair few members of TM, who have dealings directly with the factory when it comes to queries (I myself have spoken with them once and found them to be very helpful and knowledgeable (as you would expect )), so perhaps it is worth asking Morgan direct? I am sure you wouldn't be the first person looking for a solution
Hope that helps? And again, welcome!
Simon

With the trad cars - there is quite a lot of "room" to play with the seats, doing "minor surgery" on the mounts etc. Dr E

I got my 1981 Morgan from my Dad, who was 6'2". To accommodate him it was specified with the bucket seats and a 4 seater screen, which is an inch taller. He then replaced the seat runners with a thinner piece of wood and modified the seat cushion base by cutting a bum sized hole in it and using upholstery webbing to fill said hole. He drove it like this for 8 years, so It must have been OK. Changing the screen is not really an option if you aren't ordering a new one as the hood & side screens will no longer fit. Cheers Andy.
