I've always been an admirer and of course, unlike Morgans, some models did actually have a wooden chassis.

I have driven a 3 litre Marcos with a wooden chassis, it belonged to a tall friend who bought it new, and still has it lying unused for a number of years now. I did drive it once and my memory was that the seat position was not adjustable, but the pedals were...? As my drive was only a short trip and I was not for messing with any pedal adjustment to suit my slightly shorter legs than those of my friend...Thus although a rather striking machine to look at and the V6 Ford could definitely propel it along at pace, it all felt a bit kit car like in terms of fit and finish. I guess a few years of Lotus experiences had educated me to the extent that I had been there done that and thus was none too impressed with the machine....At the time of my drive, the owner, had gone up market and bought a new 928 with a manual box, which I think he still has to this day, also not been on the road for quite some time...Yeah old men and their tales... Sigh.. (-:

I always liked Marcos cars, at least until extreme wide tires and spoilers came along.

Hopefully they won't reintroduce the Mantis ("beauty lays in the eye of the beholder"). I almost bought this one about 25 years ago -- fortunately it would have been too long to fit in my garage.

If it’s anything like the “reborn” TVR there should be plenty of time to save up for it!

I always thought that the early Aero rear ends were a bit 'Marcos'. Apparently there was a link in the design team but can't remember the detail.

First thing I thought of when I saw the rear-end of the Midsummer was a Marcos.

That Mantis was a shocker!!
