The Cord cars of that era were pretty striking too ... and had a lot of innovative engineering ..... there are definite highs and lows in car design and this era was one of the highs .... much as I appreciate the Cord/Auburn/Deusenberg cars (and others) from the States, there's just something about the Merc that would make it my 'take-home' pick 🙂 K ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2025/08/17/Screenshot_20250817_080334_Chrome.jpg) PS ....I could have a use for that off-road 4 wheeler down in my woods in the winter!! 🙂 PPS ... having looked back at the photos ... dammit! , I'll just take the lot! ... you only.live once 🙂

Looks like it will be a good purchase for the eventual winner of the auction. I suppose those strange-looking raised bumpers are "federal spec" ?
