Ardnamurchan

Had a run across to the west coast over the weekend, up Deeside, over the Lecht then along the Laggan road to Spean Bridge with a stop at the Commando Memorial then round Loch Eil and Ardgour to Ardnamurchan. Set up camp near the lighthouse and sat and watched the sunset before a fairly early start for the run home via Lochailort, Fort William and through Glencoe in company with a bizarre amount of traffic then round by Crianlarich, Lochearnhead, Perth then over Glenshee to home. Pretty much all of it in the usual blistering sunshine.

What a great trip! Did you come down the B8008 from the Commando Memorial to Banavie? That's one of my favourite roads.

many thanks for sharing your weekend Calum, and as ever with super images to boot.. thumbs
.
It was a wonderful weather weekend indeed, opening up the countryside to full view..... I had a fantastic almost non- stop circa 6 1/2 hour run round a mix of Dunbartonshire, Stirlingshire, and Perthshire on Saturday, in my old +8, the evening drive down the side of Loch Tay and into Killin and burbling slowly over the old bridge at the Falls of Dochart created a days driving that will keep the memory banks engaged for some time to come.... Yup I had my camera with me, but was just enjoying driving the old Mog too much to stop to try to capture the scenery.... Duh..!

Great trip and photos thumbs
Think I put Tim onto the B8008 - other members of our group insisted on running the A82 instead.

I just took the A82, mainly to simplify getting to the Shell station at the turn off for the Mallaig road.
