It's also possible to gain some extra legroom by moving the pedals forward on the adjusters.

I added a little when I re-engineered the the linkages with fully threaded stainless clevis forks. Pedal action so much smoother now as well.

Thanks for all the assistance, since I dont have the car to tinker with, it's too much of a gamble to buy it. I've decided to buy another Plus 8. Other than the legroom I didn't like the PAS.

I have asked the seller of the car (that my wife and I absolutely loved) to give the next owner our details for when they decide to sell it. My wife LOVED it and will be in a position to buy it in 3-4 years.

Richard, interesting comment on not liking the 3.7's PAS, unfortunately the later version was MMC value engineered and lost it's speed sensor which eased off the assistance as speed increased.

My cure (cough - bodge) was to introduce a cut off switch so that I can choose PAS or not eg, for track days, or flick it back on for parking

Having only had my 3.7 Roadster for a few weeks now, I can honestly say that of the 5 Morgans I have owned, this is looking like the best one, the speed is addictive but more importantly is the flexibility of having such a large lump up front, gear changing is almost optional, 6 to 5 is usually enough whilst in normal cruising mode, more like the XK's I have been used to. I also like the footwell lights and heated seats ( whatever next )

Here for a good time not a long time!!

I think that in pre long door days there was a way of altering the wooden crossmember that forms the edge of the bulkhead. This would allow more rake on the seat backrest but ultimately absolute rearward seat movement is probably limited by the position of the fixing for the leaf spring.🤷🏻‍♂️
