A lovely run out in the autumn sunshine to the Eels Foot Inn, an old smugglers pub near Minsmere for a GEG lunch with RichardV6.

Well priced food & excellent ale as well.

We had an interesting trip out yesterday to Brechfa and many old rally roads more of a shake down really. We were two cars my mate having just completed the ssl upgrade to the rear of his Roadster. He seemed very impressed much more planted on the road and when we followed you could actually see the difference in the bounce of the rear. Quite a wet day in the end with a nice lunch stop and roof up all day. A very enjoyable day was had the ladies hair all kept in place and one very happy roadster owner.

Over the last week we covered 840 miles plus on the AngleMog Oct Foray to Sidmouth. We went up & back to Felixstowe with an overnight stop near Newbury.
Great fun was had and many NT houses were visited including T Hardy's birth place. There was the traditional train ride if a little small and a tram ride.


The car ran perfectly though I broke a hood tenax (now fixed). On the route back we got 52 mpg.

I did a half day driving course on that tramway - well worth it

How did you get on with the dinosaurs?

Don't remember any of those - maybe due to concentrating on the road? It was a good few years ago, when I had the +4. (whenever that was!). My instructor was a chap called Mike Ward, great grandson (or great nephew, I forget which) of Churchward (I think - GWR Swindon works anyway).

Nice, there is now a Jurassic world museum at Seaton so the dinos are along the track for the kids.
If I remember correctly the trams run on 120v DC supplied by batteries along the track. The batteries being recharged from the mains at night.
