Slightly off track in terms of the thread but perhaps more related to the topic of Perfection Vs Patinated, I am a tad betwixt and between, though in my yoof I spent a lot of time polishing up my old machines, even to the extent of polishing their engines internals... With the passage of time I grew to appreciate machines which wore a measure of their history. Perhaps a tad like ladies, who have had surgery to produce someone`s idea of perfect curves and bright white teeth, and whatever else as opposed to a natural beauty, wearing the ageing process well.... Hmm..? I think I have related this story before of a Type 51 Le Mans Classic entrant which required a new rear tyre to be fitted, it seems whoever fitted the tyre may have thought that, to be fully appreciated, that wonderfully engineered and aged alloy deserved to be polished to perfection....? ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2025/09/29/Bugatti-Type-51.jpg)

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Those bull bars could be quite good on the narrow roads around here as well?

SOLD for £43K with commission just over £46K, someone got an absolute bargain compared to current retail prices in the mid to upper £60K range currently being asked. They didn't make many of these Aero Plus 8, there are few for sale and those that are like many of the P6's seem to be sticking and not selling. Maybe sign of the times or things to come.. WOW, so much for no depreciation on a Morgan.....

Love the patina..... ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2018/01/30/Bugatti-owned-by-Alf-Cox-5.jpg)
