I fitted NGK Iridium ITR6F13 to my S1 at 40k miles and was amazed at how good the previous set looked when removed, clean as a whistle, and minimal gap increase of perhaps just a couple of thou
I've always been a fan of NGK plugs, never had quality issues

I'm sure lots of you remember when for ages you could get 4 Champions for £1! At 5s. 0d. a spark plug cost about the same as a gallon of petrol!

Bit of advice needed please. I'm planning on checking my spark plugs and been reading Dave Ws method. However, reading the roadster handbook it states that the intake manifold should notnbe removed by the owner as the fuel settings need to be checked. Is this even a thing?

I asked the very same thing at my dealer before doing that job. Providing you take care with the gasket, you dont interfere with the fuel lines, so it's a simple mechanical separation and reassembly. So I did it and there were no issues.

Thanks Dave. I'm planning on replacing the PCV at the same time, do you think there's sufficient clearance to get at it if I prop up the manifold like you did in your photo on here? I don't have hands like shovels so that might help.

Possibly Leroy. Access is very tight when you leave everything connected, but see how you go.
