Thought it might be interesting to experience a skid pan and, being at Thruxton for the Morgan Challenge recently, I saw that you can use your own car on their skid pan, with the instructor as passenger.

Now, I'm wondering if the Overseer might kick in. I believe (from a previous thread) it does so when built in accelerometers tell the ECU that the car is not 'behaving' as it should do. On the MY23 P6 there is no 'Overseer override' switch, but there is the ESC, which has three settings: ESC on, ESC Sport, and ESC off. I was hoping to try the skid pan with all three settings.

I suspect that there would be situations where the Overseer would throw the gearbox into neutral and stop the engine.

Any thoughts / suggestions / confirmation of my madness welcome

I did it with my 2020 plus four . Dont touch the overseer button , nothing abnormal happend. Very easy to drift . I dont have an esc.

I used my 2021 plus four at a "driver education" organised by the Louwman Exclusive Morgan Dealer in the Netherlands at the RDW testing area in Lelystad.
Sliding around the skid pans and test circuit was a blast, the car was great, easy to drift and slide, loads of fun! No any issues with the overseer light / button, I didn't hear of the other CX generation cars suffering either, although there were plenty of spins causing cars rolling backwards....
