As I understand it its £200 per household if you're under 80 - or £100 each for couples where both are eligible and under 80.

I was told it was £100 and live alone. Clawed back if you earn more than £35k.
I travel most of the winter, it amazes me how many ex pat Brits I meet, who have council houses which I know they rent, who receive the full allowance and never file a tax return. Also get the annual pension increment although they live abroad in countries where it shouldn't be increased. HMRC think they are UK residents.

Having read this it seems I get £200 and my wife gets £100.

Having just checked our Bank Account - the last payment we received was December 2023 for Heather at £250.
We both get the £10 XB annually though.

So the letter is a waste of money and time - good old CS at it's best.
Still pleased to have donated though.

Methinks they complicate it to give them something to do in their 4 day week. 😉
