I used to listen to "Great 208" Luxembourg on a radio I built from a kit. My favourite Pirate DJ was Emperor Rosko who also broadcast on Radio Caroline, https://emperor-rosko.blogspot.com/ I wrote and complimented him on his programme, and he sent me a Boogaloo Bag (don't ask -- a small paper bag on which he had scribbled something indecipherable).

I'm a big fan of traditional music ... but there's traditional and there's 'traditional' ... sorry it's a Facebook reel but it popped up unannounced on my page and moved my heart from 2000 years ago ...

Rich, the "under the bedclothes club", I remember it well how a record you really liked would just fade away with the interference. I have recently rediscovered "Caroline" and even had an e-mil read out over the air waves, back to 1964 again, they are still operating from the Ross Revenge out in the Blackwater.
