Actually guys I think we really drive most of the time with the roof down in winter as getting in and out with the roof up is becoming impossible!

Looking forward to collecting the new to me Morgan PLUS FOUR tomorrow, it'll be a long day travelling from the NW down to South Wales. As it's forecast to be a sunny cold dry spell , it will be roof down, all the way back with a slight detour popping into Morgan Malvern for a coffee etc. and then onto home in the dark. Will certainly test all the cabin heating and seat heaters.to the full.as it's just over 300 miles the return leg of the journey, so should get a good feel for the car. The small size of the tank will mean I'll need to top up in Malvern, as I most likely be pushing it on one tank full. Which makes me smile as the SLK (larger tank ) will do the same journey basically 3 times on a tank full.

Certainly looking forward to it, got all the winter gear out ready. It will be an early morning cold start, but Sue's well prepared she's bringing her JBL speaker just in case the in car speakers aren't upto too much at higher speeds, Got to get the priorities right, you need music to wile away the hours.on the return journey.

It is definitely an 'art' and not a very graceful one.....

As she's outside 24/7 I tend to put the hood on in November and leave it on till Feb/Mar. Helps stop the rain/snow mount up on the tonneau cover, and also makes life more comfortable if I have to drag her into service at 6.30am for the commute if I have an issue with the MG.

I went for a PSA Test yesterday and had an audience at the door when I parked the MGB. They were intrigued about how someone of 'my size*' fitted inside. I explained that it was a bit like origami. When I left, they all watched intently and I got a round of applause when I folded myself in smile smile

*I'm not actually that big - smidge under 6ft, 17st but quite broad which gives the illusion of being much bigger.

Best of Luck, John -- You'll really enjoy it! - I now have 55,000 Kms on mine and it still brings out the same smile as the day I got it!

Cheers! from SE Ireland

Well that probably puts my recent trip to pick up the Roadster in Warrington and take it back to Ilkley in storm Amy into shade! Good luck John and drive carefully! Let the assembled TM masses know you made it safely.

Mrs T and myself made a top down outward journey to Holmfirth for lunch, but she didn't fancy the 'lid down', as she would describe it, on the way back in the dark!

Only a 20 mile round trip to shops but great to get out in the sunshine before next batch of rain. Almost toasty in flying jacket and matching helmet.

Lovely run out to Totnes and parked up at the Rowing Club viewing many of the high and dry yachts and thinking yes a shame folks stop driving Morgans in the winter provided there is no salt around.

So that would have been two Mogs in Totnes today Rich, must be something to do with the weather.
