Mine has ZERO interest in the Morgan and a fraction less disinterest in my other classic cars although she's happy for me to play with them as much as I want. She is quite keen on our newer toy (Z4 30i) and enjoys both of our 'normal' cars.

Mines happy to be a passenger, and we usually have a weeks tour every year, and have gone camping.

However, she can't drive it (can't get the seat far enough forward for her to reach the pedals) and she moans ALOT if I fold down the screen and use the aeros.

My wife drove the 1st of my 4 Morgan’s (1996 4/4) and returned very worried to tell me that she had “broken” the “ power steering”😂
She never drove any of them again and was a very reluctant passenger. Was nice be able to drive without a negative running commentary from the passenger seat and being asked “ is it meant to do that?”

I met my now wife when she nursed my Dad on one of his stays in hospital.

It was during Covid when you couldn't actually get on the wards and had to hand stuff at the ward door .

This vision of loveliness clad in her face mask and scrubs took one look at the copy of Miscellany, nodded approvingly and said 'I love Morgans'.

Sods law being what it is, didn't see her again for two weeks but....when I did I was in the Mog and she asked for a lift home!

Together 5 years and married last month!

Just dont say "Morgans have a wooden chassis don't they?" in her earshot......

I get that story. Bless.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

She was even happy when I bought the current (final) one back again....🤷🏻‍♂️

I consider myself to be a very fortunate chap in that SWMBO has always gone along with my car obsession ( 6 in the last 12 months ) however Morgans have always been her favorite, I think she likes to be able to hang her arm our when we are chugging (?) around the lanes. She will not entertain a tin top, that's what buses are for!!

Similar story here.

When I was looking around for a classic car 18 years ago, there were several marques I was interested in. It was after a weekend trip to the Cotswolds in a rented +4 from Richard Thorne that Mrs W told me it had to be a Morgan ... and so it was. She also persuaded me to swap it for a newer model earlier this year.

I am fortunate that our first and primary Morgan used to belong to her father. She drove it before I knew what a Morgan was!

That said, she is mostly happy to go on trips and outings, as long as there is the possibility of getting a tan while in route. And she does drive the car, but only occasionally.

However, Morgan #2, a '53 flat rad in little pieces, she is a bit less enthusiastic. Mostly because she knows I will need to spend money to get it on the road.

Currently I am strongly considering getting into vintage racing. There is a '59 +4 on bring a trailer right now that would be the perfect car for me. And she would be OK with it as long as I didn't have to spend money to get it...or to race it.

We'll see. Slow and gentle pressure.
