I have a posiflow on the MGB which does the job. (Until it packs up, which involved towing her back home behind the Morgan! I had one 'in stock; so an easy replace)

I may revert back to a electric pump at some point, but being half way through an 70mph+ overtake of a HGV, with the overtaking lane about to merge back in and getting fuel cut off kind of put me off the electric route...... smile smile smile

What seemed to work was a small Facet Posiflow fitted on the inner wing, pressure is about 2psi and no sign of either starvation or overfilling.

Some thought has to be given to the fuel pump action when deciding where to place pump. Pumps can give short suck long blow (place near tank) or vice versa (place near carb). I remember spending time on a diesel heater installation on a yacht. The run from tank to heater in stern of boat was over 20 feet down narrow bore pipe, moving pump from close to tank to near heater solved the fuel starvation issue.

Not so much what I did but what I'm doing - changing the front drive shaft doughnut due to cracking of the rubber.
I did this about 10000 miles ago and it's failed again, no excuses I installed it incorrectly. Arrows moulded in to the rubber must point towards the flange and bolts face that way too. As a final check the thick part should be in compression, drive shaft rotates clockwise looking from the gearbox towards the rear axle so thick part should be between the bearbox output shaft hole and the prop shaft input hole so it's pushing it rather than pulling, which the other side will do.
I wanted to attach more pics here but after uploading the pic below computer repeatedly say no so gave up.

Anyway, my method below in case anyone has the same issue
Put the car on axle stands
Remove parcel shelf and tool tray
Mark flanges so they can be replaced in the same orientation
Remove all 6 doughnut securing nuts
Make yourself comfortable and have a nap for a while, she'll never know. When you wake up grap a piece of that chocolate bar you've got stashed away and carry on.
Remove bolts from U/J at axle end and tie it up out of the way of the axle flange. I tied mine to the open up and over garage door to give easier movement, tie it too close and it'll restrict movement. Failing that get a second pair of hands swmbo
Prise the doughnut off the gearbox flange bolts. May have to wriggle the shaft flange away from the axle flange to get enough movement.
Remove the doughnut.
Replace is reverse of the above making sure that the fatter parts of the rubber are in compression and bolts go through in the direction of the arrows towards the flanges. Note, shaft rotates clockwise when viewed from gearbox towards axle.

Not such problems.

After 70000Km driving with hood down (and about 150Km with hood up) the seat belts became very dirty.
So every time the belts worked they leaved some dirt on the inner side of the hood when driving hood down.

While the trim shop did some little repair on the hood I did wash the seat belts....

Took every wheel off, cleaned, ceramic coated, greased, did wheel arches and tidied up waxoil. Cleaned engine bay, air filter, removed rear wheel carrier, cleaned that and inside rear wheel area.... Busy day!

Good job done.

An engine cover in aluminium sheet to keep water out of the plugs would be a useful project.

I was considering that, DIY or off the shelf do you think?

DIY if you can. Not aware of anything off the shelf. There are several posts on here relating to this.
