... there will be a Concours d'élegance on Saturday 4th July at the Morgan Motor Company in Malvern.

If you have never entered a concours before, then Novice is the ideal class for you. All you need is for your car to be clean...

...you do not need to have a package to enter – confirmed Concours participants can benefit from a Saturday-only Exhibitors Pass, priced at £25 per person to include a buffet-style lunch on site.

So with a bit of attention with the Autoglym and a chamois a Saturday day ticket is possible.

It also states that the "early bird" discount has been extended to 24th December, although the SCT website still currently says the 30th November.

Wouldn't it be fun to buy the day exhibition ticket and turn up in a really scruffy dirty car......

Sounds like there's a slight panic over numbers. If I was still a member, I might be tempted to enter my beautifully preserved Satin Black 4/4. I'd even give it a quick clean.

Ah the unfortunate CXT always reminded me of a classic Launch or yacht that had been hauled out with the ends unsupported -and had hogged and broken its back

Extract from todays Morganeer :

"Bookings are coming in thick and fast for our anniversary weekend in Malvern from 3-5 July. As a Christmas bonus we're extended the "early-bird" booking discount until 24th December, giving you £75 off the regular price and only 10% deposit"

Am I missing something but if bookings are that thick and that fast, why is the discount period being extended

I bet they'll be offering discounts until they've covered their costs + whatever profit they need to make.......🤷🏻‍♂️..... so probably right up to the week of the event................😆
If it's a total flop MSCC aren't affected...... other than the committee looking stupid..... and all standing down in shame.....😂🤦🏻‍♂️

It's time MSCC stopped trying to be a business and became a club again, just my opinion.

I don't wholly blame the 'management' at MSCC for this apparent mess, organising something like this takes time and effort, and there seems to be a lack of willing volunteers to help do it "in house" so the obvious solution is to farm it out to a professional organisation ... unfortunately they will want to make a decent profit, and that's where the rot sets in.

Yes, MSCC could have spent more time understanding what the vast majority of members wanted from the anniversary, but I think most of the centres will have their own events and this should have been the culmination of the celebrations. Just a gathering and a dinner would have worked for me, but - hey - that's me being critical rather than constructive and offering to help!

I'll likely get the £25 concours exhibitors pass (and turn up in the Volvo).
