Hello, this is my first post so please be gentle.

I have an 03 plate 4/4 bought last April and simply love it. Having used it regularly thru the summer she proved reliable and did everything she should. (I was away for 6 weeks and on return she started 1st time !). Since end of October she has been garaged and covered. Battery has been kept healthy and indeed she turns over no problem. BUT………..the engine will not fire. Havent had time to investigate but it feels like either a fuel problem (pump or possibly just fuse), but could it be the immobiliser not disengaging ?

Has anyone had similar issues or indeed a view on what to check first pease.

Is this a trad car? As this is for the so called CX cars on he modern chassis.
Older trad +4 have had immobiliser issues suggest you search for that.
It could be the fuel going off especially if E10 though 3 months is short.
Press in the fuel cut off switch & the relays.

Chris, I have a 2011 4/4. & some years ago occasionally had that problem.
I changed the key to the supplied spare & have not had the problem since. On my 4/4 you have to put your head in the passenger footwell & look up to see the flashing immobiliser light. (Helps if done when dark) I can’t find the info at the moment as not at home. Others will know, but how the flashes respond when operating the key may give you a clue to what’s going on.

I also know on the Roadster from 2005 the fuel pump relay powers the ECU. Mine failed sadly leaving me stranded.

I dont think the immobiliser is the issue as red light/beeping signal does change as and when the key is in the ignition, and I did try the “change of key approach” with no joy. This leaves me with the fuel relay and a new challenge. Current fit is a 3 pin Wehrle 54 201 101 with blades marked 49, 49 and31 but I can only find 4 pin replacements. Looking at Berrybrook they suggest/recommend a Bosch 4 pin but assume this wont work as only 3 sockets are wired ?

I will speak to them next week to see what needs to be done but as electrics and me have never got on it may be I need to find an auto electrician.

Are you absolutely sure that you have identified the correct relay for the fuel pump?
3 pin seems peculiar and as you can see its on ebay,it is used as a flasher relay. I would expect the fuel pump relay to have at least 4 pins…2 pins for relay coil and 2 pins for the pump supply.

You are so right Doug - many thanks. After a bit of detective work and mental reasoning I have established that the fuel relay is the other end of the 4 relays in the fuse “box”. Having identified that it is a Bosch 0332014112 I have managed to track one down and hopefully it will be here mid-week. I can only say thank you to you all - a fantastic forum and as a novice I am heartened by the kindness shown.

Now, all i have to do is replace a bonnet knob that broke off (bizarre I know), and we will be in reasonable shape.
