This morning I went along to a Boxing Day meet at The Drive at Haddo. There was the usual assortment of fast cars, Ferrari, Aston, Lamborghini, McLaren, Lotus, Porsche and so on with a variety of engine configurations and types from naturally aspirated through supercharged and turbocharged and all the way to high performance hybrid machines but there was one chance pairing on the entrance road that I thought really demonstrated a true paradigm change in transportation technology, with history parked up and the future driving by. Soon we will all be caught up in this advancement. Some won't like it but we must move with the times...

Cool Calum, there’s nothing quite like a traction engine, they’re quite hypnotic once you start watching them breathe.
Any other Morgans flying today?

Think I was the only Morgan today, at least while I was there...on the other hand could barely move without tripping over GT3 Porsches and 296 Ferraris!

Other than the lack of light, we’ve had amazing driving weather, I’ve driven over 300 miles without going anywhere further then 15 miles from home, they’ve been fortunate at Haddo you wouldn’t expect a good turn out at this time of year.
I wish I’d taken the Morgan there but then again
, the last time I went there it was so busy I didn’t even get a cup of coffee, I so glad it’s a success for them though, it’s a perfect destination for the purpose.

Just need a ploughing or two to go with that traction engine smile
Looks a good meet. Love the Alvis!
