I wonder if any of you have encountered these issue's before and could share your wisdom?

1) Hazzard lights... My indicators work perfectly on all four corners, however I have noticed my Hazzard lights only blink on one side! Does the Hazzard have its own relay or is this likely to be a hazzard switch issue?

2) If I switch off the ignition and remove the key with the main light switch on, the rear tail light stays on until i turn off the light switch, i'm assuming that this is not normal?

Any Ideas?

I can confirm that the tail lights stay lit after the car is off if the switch is left on. I am not sure about the hazard relay.

Yes side lights and horn are on keep alive feed from battery as are hazards and immobilser of course.

The turn signal module (TSM) handles hazards and indicators. This is a 12 pin unit pre 2014, using an external single LED flasher unit, and 16 pin thereafter with integral flasher, which was more reliable although still prone to odd glitches like hazards coming on uncommanded. Unlikely to be the hazard switch, a simple single pole device, therefore. I believe Bunny of this parish was handling sales of a completely re-engineered version of the earlier TSM if that's which model you have.

Thanks for the advice. Yes I have an early M2W, in fact Chassis 004, so you can't get much earlier!

I have reached out to Bunny to see if he can help.

The re engineered version of the TSM was only for the later 16 pin cars.

As your M3W is pre 2014 it should have the 12 pin TSM and the 16 pin won't work with that loom, as Roger says. I believe you can still get replacement 12 pin modules from Morgan, certainly worth a try. Even if substituting it doesn't fix the problem then you do have a spare of this increasingly difficult to obtain item. There is an indicator relay, at least on the early cars, p/n 10R027024 or Puretek CF14JL-02 but it sounds like it works fine. Try cleaning the TSM plug connectors but probably it will need a change. I hate electrical problems!

So you were of course right, I have located the TSM and it is indeed the 12 pin type.

However, I am a bit sceptical that the hazard light uses the TSW because of the following...

1) Made sure TSM was plugged in correctly (by jiggering it around) But I found it didn’t fix the issue (hazards still only working on one side)
2) Completely unplugged the TSM. Indicators stop working.
3) With the TSM still unplugged I tried the Hazards and they still work (incorrectly as before, but working all the same)
4) Noted that the fuse pinout shows - Fuse 2 = "Horn/Hazards" - Fuse 10 = TSM/Headlights
5) Pulled out Fuse 2 – Hazards stop working, Indicators still work
6) Pulled out Fuse 10 – Indicators stop working, Hazards still work
7) Located relay and confirmed (by touch) that both the indicators and the hazards make the relay click.

Therefore the evidence seems to suggest that the Hazards use a separate circuit to the Indicators but shares the same relay?
For some reason none of the Hazards components seem to be on the wiring diagram (which isn’t helpful)
Has anyone got any idea why the Hazards and Indicators are on separate circuits but share a relay… or can shed any light on if the hazards use the TSM or not?

The Hazards have a separate circuit so they work with the ignition off.
The indicators only work with the ignition on.

Its a legal requirement for hazards.
