I learned this week that the factory started production on my new Plus Four--about a month earlier than I expected! We live in the US, but I'm considering a quick trip over to visit the factory while my car is still in build. Has anyone gone to see their car in production at the factory? I will be in the UK in July for my daughter's graduation from UEA in Norwich, so can go then--but I'm very tempted to try to see it while being built--I will most likely never get to order another custom made car! Thanks, Steve

I haven't, having bought "nearly new", but many on here have and I'm sure they will all tell you that it is an experience not to be missed! Do it ... ... or, if you can't, I'll offer to go on your behalf

Visited both my new cars during production - twice. Even when it's only a half days drive it's still difficult to see the car at a particular point in the production process as once started they crack on. It helps to have your supplying dealer being in near daily contact with the factory.

When I was in the factory in December, there were two parties of prospective US owners and they along with Morgan employees were signing and dating the tub floors of their cars and seemed to be having a really good time, enjoying themselves and creating a permanent record of that day on the car. It certainly seemed to them well worth the time and effort

I visited the factory while mine was in build. A great day out and nice seeing your car in whatever stage of build it's at and talk to the people making it.

Last one I bought new, but was already build. So I have to look in the photographic build record which I have got purchasing the car. I've been in the factory many times, saw Morgans of people I knew and then took pictures. I think it's great to have a look at your Morgan when in build. MMC will certainly be very supportive!

We manged to visit 4 times during build over about 3 weeks and made up our own photo book, Mrs CL took in several tins of home made cookies for the lads on the last visit because she enjoyed seeing the Mog so much.
It's memories for life...do it !

Thank you for these comments and encouragement! My dealer has reached out to Malvern with the dates later this month I can travel, and I hope to hear back on Monday so I can lock in my flights. I'm very excited to visit the factory and see my Plus Four in production. Assuming it all comes together I will post photos and report on my experience. Steve

Sounds like you have a plan .... I visited the factory a couple of years ago ... I was down south in the Morgan at the Goodwood Revival and swung by on my trip back ... i had planned to visit before the end of production of the old steel chassis trads (as that's what my car is )... but covid restrictions put paid to that. Really enjoyed the factory visit ... it will be even better seeing your own car in build ... enjoy your trip

Have you thought about how you will get from (I assume) London Heathrow airport to Malvern? A train is probably a good option, either the RailAir coach from Heathrow to Reading, then a direct train to Malvern Link (MMC is a shortish walk from that station), or the Elizabeth Line tube then a direct train. Here's a google maps link to the coach / train option: https://maps.app.goo.gl/YwbWzsJS89GtvFvw7
