I live in Melbourne, Australia and have a 2018 3W. My mechanic said to me recently that the forward horizontal rubber insert in the R side top wishbone assembly is degrading and there is movement. Does anyone know the precise size or name of the wishbone bush that is inserted or where I can buy them. I would prefer not to have to buy the assembly. Thanks. Andrew

The part you are referring to Andrew is the wishbone bush M150002. They fit to upper and lower inboard parts of wishbones so four used each side. I believe aftermarket more durable polyurethane bushes are available.

You may still be able to get some of these from Morgan with the p/n Richard gave but they were in short supply recently. Not so sure that there is an alternative poly bush though, unless anyone else knows otherwise? Phil Bleazey did get some made but his stock has gone to Avus Auto AG in Switzerland, www.avus-auto.ch, they may have some? I believe that mog3wheeler.com in Sheffield UK are also looking at getting another batch made. You could always try M3W Services as well.

Thanks for your replies. I sent an e-mail to Melvyn Rutter. They replied - We can order the bushes in for you our part number is 3ST516 £35.26 each + postage, we should see them by the end of next week. Does the price sound right? I think I should order a few at the same time.

I don't know what the price should be but I heard it was a lot for what it is....and that is a lot for what it is! If you need it, you need it.

If one bush is on the way out suggest you consider replacing all the bushes so you don't get uneven handling. Then it may be worth getting some poly bushes made to replace all of the rubber ones. I have poly bushes in other vhicles and they work well and I think are worth it.

Sadly M3W production numbers are not up there with VW Golfs, Ford Focus or even Lotus Elise and poly bush companies are not that interested in satisfying a small market by producing bushes in the correct size. They don't match up well with anything else either. If you can find some poly bushes in the correct spec, please let me know and I will be inline for a set as well. When I fitted a set to my Elise they made a big improvement, even a fraction of that on the M3W would be great.

There are some smaller players out there that may be interested eg, https://batchpoly.com/What you really need is someone to invent poly rod or granules for a conventional 3D printer
