Arrived in hotel North of Inverness. Broke the 600 mile trip into 2 parts. Yesterday to Gretna, overnight stop. Today Gretna to Contin. Roof down, good weather. Nowfor some runs....

had a great run with Hawki through Lavenham to the Three Horseshoes yesterday. It was really warm in Suffolk & in the sunshine a real joy to drive the CX

Missed the opportunity on Wednesday when it was 22deg, today struggled to reach 8deg and showers - so diy jobs instead...sigh !

250 miles today. Coffee stop at Eilan Donan castle then across to Skye via the bridge and up to Dunvegan. Snack at the castle cafe then toured the castle. Home of the McClouds. Back to Loch Carran for food before returning to Contin. Lots of deer/stags seen, a couple close to the road soneeded to alert. More snow had fallen overnight on the higher hills but plenty of sunshine.
Weather looks decent tomorrow so another trip in the planning.
Time for a pint now....🍺

Yes to Coul House.
Excellent hotel. Car clubs use it, Met Boshly there last year with a McClaren group.
It's a good base for exploring the west area, Sky, Mull, parts of the NC500.
