Beautiful day here today in Buchan so a 50 mile run out with Mrs Image to the Drive Cafe for a cuppa and a sausage roll ... some nice oldies taking the opportunity for a leg-stretch ... including a fine pair of Alvises. (Alvi ??🙂)

Good test for the new quickshift and repositioned lever ... gets full marks!!

PS ... interestingly the Sylva and my Morgan shared the same engine/box combo .... Crossflow with a Type 9 .... we, of course, lifted bonnets for an engine admiration session! 🙂

I drove a lot the past few days thanks to the beautiful weather but today, not the best weather but for sure the best ride.
Very quiet on the B-roads. Almost no cyclists and enough room on the terraces.
Also, at my favourite lunch stop “Castle of Ordingen” plenty of place even the best parking lot.

Out for a spin round ... stopped for coffee and the most gorgeous Alvis parked up next to us ... what an impressive car ... thing was faultless.... enjoyed a good blast home on sunny and empty roads ... still very much enjoying the new quickshift.

Yesterday to Techniques for its Annual Service - just 3800 miles last year. And back this afternoon to pick it up. 60 miles. Off to Croatia later in the summer.

Sad to say, given the dry day in prospect, checked the tyre pressures, oil and water level, turned the key..... Click, and the fuel pump died along with the alternator warning light..... Despite the Ctek being monitored daily and showing green right up to the point i disconnected it to get ready to rock... My fault, I have been meaning to replace the battery for quite some time now just due to age rather than any failure....Duh..! Replacement ordered..
