Apologies for not posting in the vid section, but thought to extend the audience for the JAG event..

Watched this rather poorly edited vid which is one of the Chris Harris & friends series, though in this case classed as an Emergency vid, the content being to advertise their JAGUAR day in May at Bicester. I suspect that given the trauma that JLR has experienced that CH & Friends, have taken it upon themselves to promote the marque.... Power to their elbow... Who in the UK or colonies (tic) is not a fan of Jaguar in some degree or other...?

As ever my first Jag was a rather rusty non runner a 66 3.8 S Type, some years later I took on another corroded winged 2.8 XJ6, on which I well remember dropping it`s auto box on to my chest while lying underneath it in my driveway and in a rainstorm soaking wet and covered in ATF... Yeah I spent a bit of time with the "scrap" Jags I owned. I even ran a friends V12 E type for a week and put circa £60 worth of fuel through it enjoying the privilege of driving such a wonderful big cat, though that was not the pinnacle of puss moment for me, that occurred at a shared marque track day at Knockhill, sometime in the 80`s (?) when both a C& D Type took part, I was fortunate to find myself on track (unfortunately not a Morgan owner at the time) following the D type for a few laps, before the red mist overcame my sense of respect and bewilderment of finding myself on a race track following a legendary Jaguar racer......We had similar pace though my brakes were better, and, well, I overtook that wonderful machine...Sigh..! Well I ask you, would you, or would you not have done so too...???

Being a lifelong Jaguar fan and having owned numerous Jags over many years, I hope they succeed in getting the brand back on track (no pun intended)

In recent years Jaguar Classic have alienated many owners and JLR seemed to be trying their best to destroy their heritage.

Hopefully those responsible have now been replaced with people who can move them forward with a nod to their past.

How right you are rich, love the XKSS, I tried to buy one ( only a replica I must add ) after I sold my XK120 C type, the best jaguar I ever had was the XK140 o.t.s. much better than the E type o.t.s. that proceeded it.
like many of the car brands of yesteryear, I fear that Jaguar have given up, they don't seem to have any respect for their heritage, rather like Alfa and Lancia in Italy. it will be very interesting what actually happens when the much promoted EV cars come along, I wish them well however I doubt I will leave the Morgan family again, the current roadster is so much fun and it must be the last analogue car they will have ever built

Here for a good time not a long time!!
