I made a quick stop at Morgan Belgium this afternoon to take a close look at the hood belt mounting brackets

I'm going to make these brackets myself, as they're quite simple :

Here is my first version of the mounting bracket for the CX Bonnet Belt :

Looking good. At the risk of stating the obvious, have you allowed for the thickness (maybe 3mm) of the material you are bending ?

Regarding the 360-degree fold, I need to check with my factory to see if it's possible. I've already done it with 1.5 mm material, but I'm not 100% sure it would work with 3 mm...

As a model aeroplane enthusiast, I'd say that 1/8" balsa sheet would be a good step up from your thin cardboard prototype. You can allow for the thickness of the metal (or in my example, the balsa wood), the bends in the finished bracket will be radiused (not a sharp fold). That way you can check that everything is in the precise position you want it.
