just watched the whole thing, quite good! I still think that I would like to daily drive one if it weren't for the finances to own one. Even with all the rain and how miserable it could be here in Florida, I would still want to drive it everywhere I went. Its not the fastest thing on the road, nor the most practical thing, but its just genius.

My hat goes of to Pete Larsen at Liberty Motors for coming up with this idea.

The BBC is funded by the UK licence fee and governed by a Royal Charter. To simplify, its job is to bring TV and Radio services to the UK. As serving overseas viewers is not included, would cost extra, the BBC can't do it, and it would take an act of parliament to change this. Additionally not everything broadcast by the BBC has overseas broadcast rights - they'd cost extra and as they are not needed, not obtained. And that assumes they were available in the first place as rights holders often sell to each territory separately.

Some nearby countries can receive BBC services as a result of what is technically called "overspill". Non intentional, a consequence of serving the UK fully and thus at no cost. So not breaking the charter.

A very well worn argument - my apologies for repeating it.

Simon,
a correct guess but IMHO it gave a good showing and the lap with the Stig was something else.
At least a Mog appeared on the show.

Only as a demonstration.

Not covered by MSA rules (too few wheels) and the ACU only allow engines up to 1300cc in twisty events.

So the only form of competition open to it at the moment is an ACU straight line sprint.

I was actually quite impressed by Hammonds lappery, if it was him. Although there was room for improvement, it looked quite well balanced. The Stig on the other hand would probably be blown into the weeds by many of the three wheel racers. His lap looked desperately uncontrolled. Car ought to do a time in the low 1:40s in the hands of someone that knew what they are doing.

Having done a few hundred miles in mine now you are sometimes puzzled when things just don't feel right and your not sure why.

Then you remember its got a wheel missing. doh

Must admit I have found myself drifting around one or two corners. woohoo

Certainly need a handling course to explore the limits before I become to brave. scared

Oh yes. fully aware of that. I was only thinking of a lunchtime demo run (or two).
Managed it with a Max one year, by calling it a course car... smile

Stig looked very untidy in the 3W...

Cheers,

if it's dry I have a course on saturday 23th march
from a guy who can drift with truck+trailer on a spot where you wouldn't think there's enough place to do it without the trailer
he's a former racer and now has a test-center
he had a huge smile on his face when I said I would take the 3whlr to follow a course with him cheers
