I still worry that concessions on older cars (VED & MOT) will ultimately lead to restrictions on use as has already been the case in some other countries. Agreed, but difficult to enforce here as some vehicles exempt from the MOT (mileage check ?) and ANPR cameras struggle with black 'n silver platesDespite all the tech we still have thousands of motorists on our roads with no insurance or road tax If only that were true nowadays Jon  I can confirm that Mobile Speed Camera vans are able to read B/W number plates

Generally black and white plates don't give enough reflection.

I was in mid wales in the 1980 +8 last year quiet country road along with a friend in his S2 E Type. A group of cyclists berated us for polluting the planet.
