I turned the configurator on, then immediately closed it down. I don't need the additional power, the Plus Six has more than enough. The new 'optional' aluminium gear selector is an improvement, but still short of the benchmark set by Morgan Park's offering.

I totally agree on that! My conclusion was that the gear selector is an improvement (should be standard on all automatics, including PlusFours, or at least an option), the rest not needed and I don't like the extra vents. My PlusFour 258 BHP is more than enough for me! And I have a manual...!!

The only things my PLUS FOUR would benefit from is the fitment of an LSD and the suspension upgrade, you can keep all the other electronic traction control wizardry .
I still wouldn't mind a Supersport, I certainly wouldn't just say no on the basis of cost.........they will all become available over time on the second hand market.........would be nice to have such a powerful petrol powered Morgan as a last hoorah before all we have are new EV's to keep us company.
I'm about to collect (well a driver and a van is) next Saturday a '97 1sr model year Harley Heritage Springer, (very collectable) based on a '48 FL with Girder front forks and emulating a hardtail. It's loaded with masses of period style accessories, which will be removed to lighten the load. Just something a bit period to keep the Morgan company in the garage

Well being a driver of a early Plus Six my take is B58 engined Morgan's do not need more power! It's exciting with that dangerous side that you know it could throw you onto a hedge if not respected, a proper sports car.
A Morgan with 400 horsepower—100 more than a Ferrari 250 GTO? We live in crazy times.
Early this morning, when it was still cold, I drove to work under a steel-blue sky, bundled up in my sheepskin flight jacket. Along beautiful country roads. There, 115 hp was more than enough to arrive at the office in high spirits.
I got to £155+ on the configurator. No bespoke colour option, spare wheel, or manual box so I'm out!
That made me go back into the configurator and, yes, I got to £160k for the equivalent of what I currently have (minus around 60 horses).
But some of the optional costs are plain daft; vertical seat pleating is standard, horizontal pleating is over £800 more. £800 for the privilege of having a sewing machine turned round!
