Great installation and pics. My Sony DSX-510BD DAB/FM/bluetooth radio uses a powered splitter for the FM and DAB aerial inputs hooked up to the factory side mounted telescopic whip aerial. Ironically it works great on DAB inside a closed garage but the metal doors probably aid reception. Quite flaky on some stations on our rural roads though. The difficult to access factory radio installation is offset by the Sony Music app on my phone which allows control over most functions via bluetooth and of course music streaming.

I upgraded the footwell speakers with Focal RCX400 units and added a second pair of 3.5" JBL close to my ears, they being the largest the side panels in front of rear wheels could accommodate. Wiring was already there as my Roadsters loom included legacy wiring from 4 seater version, so plug and play. Have always hankered after more, well some, bass though as mentioned above. Final installation of this sub woofer here if you're tempted.

I went down a similar path. My 4/4 came with a basic radio and in over 10 years I've only used it a few times while waiting in car parks. I do use my phone for navigation and I've noticed that the lack of volume sometimes makes it hard to hear directions in a moving open car. I'm used to Apple CarPlay in our other cars, especially the ability to use voice commands to change the nav settings and to send and receive text messages.

The gadget I found on eBay is a "J54 Bluetooth Audio Receiver", this has a small control unit with a call/hang up/voice command button, volume buttons and << and >> which let you switch tracks or move back and forth in the podcast player. There are a few similar models, I liked this one as it has a long cable that divides to go to USB power and AUX into the radio. I've fixed the controller, which is about the size of a largish watch, to the metal dash with velcro. It lets me hear directions better and I can change nav settings, answer call etc. without touching the phone. The latter bit is most important.

Ive used thr Morgan everyday this week as my daily while my daily has been having some work done on it and ive been merrily listening to a load of punk and New Wave blasting out!

Greetings everyone! This is my first post in the forums, and I would like to share my temporary choice of bluetooth audio solution until I pull the trigger on upgrading my single din stereo to a set up that has carplay capabilities and more power output. For my 2007 4/4, I placed a JBL Charge 5 (green also to match the car's colour) in the open faced glovebox. It fits perfectly and it delivers much better sound output than the stock Blaupunkt speakers and Clarion CD player. The sound now is quite satisfactory up to 80-90 kph with the roof down, which is my preferred cruising speed anyway. I hope the pictures show well in this post.

have two Morgans
1. 2021 model loaded with speakers (amazing sound when stationary)
2. 1990 model with a speaker system, now removed! (I could hear it when stationary)
Both rubbish when on the move
If you really want quality sound (whilst driving) get a SHOKZ open run pro headset and run all sounds through it. NOTE this doesn’t fit in your ear, it’s technology at its best, the sound actually comes through your bones!
Buy two and your passenger can also listen. As it’s not in your ear you can simultaneously talk to each other as well
