Dead right, the osteoarthritis in my left knee has got a lot worse recently. The right one was weakened several years ago when I tore the cruciate ligaments. So not looking good on the driving front at present.

A 2 hour operation, surgeon and anaesthetist, theatre, one night in a private clinic pair of crutches , £16 to now £20K ! Gosh it makes that SWVA 2011 Roadster last week look a bargain at 1&1/2 knees.
Costs are getting a bit silly and the NHS is using private clinics to do hip and knees for many ………need to pay more tax or somehow reduce costs and profits. Don’t envy politicians, it’s managing decline at best with any of them, IMHO…

Hope all goes well with the recovery MM.
Seems the country has degraded it`s public services to the extent that those who can, pay for treatment, and those who cannot put it on a credit card, if they can and worry about paying later, and those who can afford neither, just have to suffer in pain for as long as it takes the NHS to get round to them..... Got to say it took political parties of all colours to have us arrive at this situation...I suspect paying more tax by everyone may help fill the hole, if that might ever become a possibility in time...?

SWMBO has just got one them for £20 k. John I hope J’s recovery is going as well as can be Mike was getting on well with his last summer when Graham and I spent some time with him on our Dorset trip, he was certainly in great humour.

Yes. She gets tired but it is going well thanks.
We hope to go on a cx holiday late may in Kent if she can get in and out of the car.

Good to hear, it's a major engineering job for sure.
I hope the mobility advances to the CX stage and she can enjoy the break, she must be getting bored with being in1st gear all day.

There's a chap in our Men's Shed getting both knees done within one week. I wouldn't have thought that they would do both so close in time.
